Hi everyone! My name is Hans, which should really be short for Handsome! I’m a 3-year-old orange and white gentleman with a big heart, a soft purr, and an even softer belly. I’m a rescue kitty whose previous family could no longer take care of me, so now I’m looking for my true forever home.
I’m a sturdy 13 pounds of love. My foster family says that I’m a bit of a hefty dude but I get around just fine and I’m a gentle giant. My extra body weight is just more for you to fall in love with! I am also front-paw declawed so I only have claws on my back paws. I am truly a “down for anything” type of companion. My superpower? I go along with pretty much anything. Want to scoop me up and cradle me like a baby? Totally fine. Want a couch buddy? I’m there. Need a quiet companion while you work or study? I’ll curl right up next to you.
All I’m really hoping for is a home with plenty of cuddles, steady meals, and lots of family time. If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing cat who just wants to love and be loved, I might be your guy. Come meet me - I’d love to be part of your family.
Hans is microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccinations, neutered, and litter box trained. Hans’s adoption fee is $300. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Approve Application
Our application checkers will review the information you submitted. This step takes approximately 5 business days.

You will be invited to meet with the pet, usually at one of our Saturday adoption events: https://www.arf-il.org/events/
Sign Adoption Contract
We’ll walk you through the adoption paperwork and collect the adoption fee. Then your new best friend is yours!
