Hi… I’m Frado — kind of like Frodo, but without the whole “carry a magic ring across Middle-earth” thing. My quest is much simpler: find a safe, loving home… and maybe a comfy bed to nap in.
I’m a young kitten who came to the shelter as a stray, and honestly? The world still feels a little big and scary sometimes. When I get nervous, I do my signature airplane ears — very aerodynamic, very dramatic, and very “please go slow with me.”
I’m looking for a patient family who understands that some kittens need time to feel safe. If you let me set the pace, I’ll come out of my shell little by little, and you’ll get to watch me grow into the sweet, curious boy I’m meant to be.
Deep down, I want to trust, to play, to cuddle, and to learn that the world isn’t so scary — that I deserve warmth, kindness, and a real home.

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
