My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cabbage was surrendered to our rescue a few months ago after we got a call from his owner - they said that their kids were “done with him” and they got rid of his cage and were out of food for him and wanted him gone asap. We knew this little guy was not in a good situation so we acted quickly to rescue him. When we picked cabbage up, he reeked of old cabbage, as that was what his family was feeding him. Unfortunately, the family was not well educated on how to care for a rabbit by the farm that he was purchased from - so the family did what they could to provide for him, but the parents never wanted a pet in the home, so they contacted us for help.

When cabbage arrived to us he was severely underweight and was suffering from eye infections. Fortunately after some TLC he has made a great recovery and is now ready to find his forever home.

Cabbage is a very outgoing and silly rabbit. He is litter box trained and LOVES food. He is also very social and enjoys spending time with people. His foster mom reports that he is always waiting for her when she gets home - excited to get to run around out of his enclosure.

We think Cabbage would be a great rabbit for a family with kids or just adults. He has been around cats and doesn’t seem to mind them.
