My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bonnet & Bernie — the cutest little sibling duo looking for a home together! 💛🖤

✨ Bonnet (short for Scotch Bonnet Pepper)
Bonnet is a stunning polydactyl princess with a touch of sass and a whole lot of heart. She can be a little shy at first and may give you a tiny hiss hello — but don’t be fooled! The moment you scoop her up, she melts into purrs. 💕
She adores playing and wrestling with her brother Bernie, and you’ll often find them curled up together for their many naps, either in their cozy crate or on their favorite cloud-soft cat tree. Bonnet is very bonded to Bernie and is always checking on him to make sure he’s okay, especially when someone else is holding him. She’s thoughtful, sweet, and would make a wonderful addition to any loving family.

✨ Bernie
Meet the sweetest little tuxedo boy ever. Bernie is a cuddlebug who lives for snuggles. If he wants food or attention, he’ll politely (and persistently!) meow until his needs are met — he knows how to advocate for himself. 😄
Bernie loves wrestling with Bonnet, chasing toys, and launching himself through his tunnel so it slides across the floor — one of his favorite games! When playtime winds down, he and Bonnet can always be found snuggled up together on their cloud perch or inside their open crate.

These two are truly inseparable.
They play together, nap together, comfort each other, and thrive side by side. Bonnet and Bernie will be a precious pair for any home looking to double the joy, double the sweetness, and double the sibling entertainment. 🐾💛🖤

More about this rescue

At Oakbrook Cat Rescue, we are a dedicated team of passionate volunteers united by our love for cats. As a no-kill rescue group, we provide a safe haven for both kittens and adult cats, ensuring they thrive in loving foster homes instead of cages. Our mission is to shower every feline in our care with compassion while offering essential services such as spaying, neutering, vaccinating, microchipping, and conducting FIV/FeLV combo tests.

We believe that every cat, whether a playful kitten or a wise old soul, deserves a second chance at happiness. In addition to caring for our adoptable cats, we support our community by assisting with the needs of feral and community cats whenever we can, helping to provide care and resources for local colonies.

From the most affectionate to the shyest, Oakbrook Cat Rescue is devoted to finding each of them a forever home filled with love. Together, we strive to make a difference—one paw at a time.
