Meet Shadowbox, a very affectionate and incredibly sweet girl who adores attention. She loves being close to her people and will happily curl up next to you on the bed for snuggles and companionship. Shadowbox is just discovering the joy of toys and has a soft spot for cat tunnels and cozy playtime.
She does well with dogs and can live with other cats, though she’ll need a little time and patience to build trust and feel comfortable. Once she does, her loving personality truly shines.
Her favorite things include curling up on the bed, soaking up attention, and relaxing on a fuzzy blanket. Shadowbox would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a gentle, affectionate cat who enjoys a calm, loving home.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

The first step in adoption from Texas Rustlers is to fill out an application online: https://www.theguineapigrescue.com/adoption-application

2.
Approve Application

Our volunteer staff will process your application as soon as they are able and get in touch with you via email about your application.

3.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Once you're approved, we'll schedule an appointment on a Saturday between 9AM-5PM. You can meet and select your furry friend then!

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

A contract will be signed during your adoption appointment.

5.
Pay Fee

Our store cashier will process your adoption fee and help you select all supplies you may need. We accept cash, check or credit/debit card.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Bring a pet carrier or at least a towel lined laundry basket with you to transport your new friend home!

Additional adoption info

Guinea Pigs: Piggies are adopted in pairs, unless you are needing a single piggy for a piggy you already have.

Bunnies: Adopted as pairs or singles.

Both: Currently bonded pairs will NOT be split up.

We do require an approved application be on file prior to scheduling a visit
