My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy has been through a lot in her past homes. She was mistreated by both the adults and the children she lived with, which has caused her to be very uncomfortable around young kids. Unfortunately, this wasn’t shared with me when I adopted her — I learned about it later.

Lucy has tried to charge at two younger children in my family, and with me expecting my first baby, I don’t feel it’s safe for her to be around an infant in the future. This is truly no one’s fault — she’s traumatized and scared, not aggressive by nature.

Despite her past, Lucy is incredibly loving, sweet, and loyal. She’s a great dog with a big heart. She does bark, but she listens when told to stop. She loves being outside, sunbathing, and going on her four daily walks.

Lucy would thrive in a home without young children and with someone who understands her background. She does do well with older kids, like teenagers. She would make a wonderful companion for the right family or individual.
