My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mister Bean, the brindle beauty with a heart as bright as his smile! This handsome pittie boy is all about fun, friendship, and full-speed joy. If you're looking for a dog who can turn an ordinary afternoon into an adventure, Mister Bean is your guy.

He's lively, he's goofy, and he's always ready to play - whether that's zooming around the yard, chasing his favorite toys, or showing off his enthusiastic wiggle walk. Mister Bean's energy is contagious, and he'll happily match you stride for stride on walks, runs, hikes, or any outing that lets him explore the world by your side.

But once the excitement settles, this sweet boy melts into a big, affectionate cuddle buddy. His brindle coat may be stunning, but it's his joyful spirit and loving nature that truly make him shine. If you're ready for a loyal companion who brings laughter, love and endless playtime, Mister Bean can't wait to meet you.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
