Hi my name is Rex. For awhile i was known as that "stupid bird" by the woman that was supposed to be caring for me. She said I was messy and she put me outside in her porch. I was ok seeing all the things that went on outside until one night. A raccoon came to my cage and tried to grab me. He could not get me out but made a pretty big hole in my head. I am not sure how long I stayed on the porch with the bloody hole but one day a kind woman came and saw me. She asked the woman in the house if help was needed to gey me to a vet for care. The woman said to take me as she had no use for the messy birtd.
Well, that woman took me to Parrots First and my life changed. I was taken to the doctor for care and then to a place they said was a foster home. That is where I am now and it is pretty great.....fresh food, clean cage...toys and love for me. The doctor said all my tests are good and my wound is healing. I am an older bird and have arthritis in my legs and feet but that does not stop me from running around.
I am told all I need now is to be adopted.
