Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Brandy is an absolute sweetheart and LOVES her people. So far her favorite things to do is follow her humans, play ball and is pretty good at retrieving, lay in the lap of her humans and give lots of kisses. Brandy is doing very well at potty training and doesn't mind going outside to do her business. Brandy is fostered with 3 resident dogs and a big resident cat, and does well with all of them. She is not quite sure what kind of creature the cat is, so she keeps her distance and doesn't bother the cat at all. It's a bit to cold for going on walks so no idea on how she is on a leash, but being a puppy, she should be easy to train and puppy classes would be helpful. Brandy is curious, adventurous, and a very busy girl. She will prance around the house dragging toys to one location and lay there and watch you from a distance, then come back for more. Brandy currently sleeps in a crate next to our bed at night, but I'm sure would love to sleep with us, but the resident chihuahuas are not the best at sharing their bed space. While we are away for errands or work, she is kept in a expen. She doesn't like to be left alone at first, and will bark, so shared walls would not be a good fit for this girl. She is not a huge barker while you are home, she just does her own thing, but she will bark if she sees something that scares her..for example my Christmas barking/singing dog on the floor. hahaha. All part of being a puppy and gaining confidence in the world around her.
Brandy will make an excellent addition to a family.
Brandy is estimated to be 6 months old and 8 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.
If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting.
