I adopted Dulce from the Deming Animal Shelter. He is a talker and he can get a bit excited at times but mostly he is relaxed when we are home. He loves exploring in the mountains. He does have a small amount of leash training but mostly I take him to places he doesn't need a leash.
Integration with my previous dogs was a bit of a process. My lab and boxer were fine but my Aussie/husky had a hard time. They got into one big fight. They are much better now but it has taken work.
I don't generally go to dog parks with them just cause I prefer the mountains. He loves chasing lizards and rabbits.
He does need a fenced yard.
He is an inside outside dogs.
He isn't smart around vehicles. He got hit by a truck last year and had an invasive hip surgery. He did recover well.
He is a lover and likes to cuddle under the blankets with me. He doesn't have any special dietary needs.
I do not want to re-home him. I love him. However, I am moving and I cannot find a rental with him.
