If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Knightley is a sweet, gentle, but anxious 5-year-old cat who has been in our family since he was a kitten. He thrives in calm, low-stress environments.
Our home has become busier and more energetic after our baby arrived last year, which increased Knightley's anxiety. When stressed, it results in him using the bathroom outside of the litter box. We want him to have the peaceful, predictable environment he deserves.
He's on anxiety medication which helps, but the growing activity in our home (and another baby on the way) will likely make Knightley's situation more stressful.
Knightley's qualities. Loves treats (very food motivated). Playful and likes chasing feathers, ribbons, laser pointer. Enjoys window-watching and sun bathing. Affectionate; loves rubs and scratches. Cuddles and plays with our other cat.
Helpful tip:
Putting him in the bathroom or a small room with a litter box is a sure way to get him to use the litter box.
