Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue
Meow meet Merideth Grey! She is a breathtaking dilute tortoiseshell with the softest fur and eyes that seem to carry her whole story. Merideth came into the rescue after being trapped during a TNR project with her babies. Even then, in the uncertainty and fear, she chose trust. It was clear she was never meant to survive on the streets. She was meant to be someone’s cat. Her kittens were adopted almost immediately. One by one, they left for their forever homes. And Merideth Grey stayed behind. The babies she protected and loved are gone, and she is still waiting - through no fault of her own she waits. Years go by and she is still waiting. She is a gentle, affectionate soul. She doesn’t want to be carried as she prefers her feet safely on the ground. What she wants is something softer and deeper - to sit by you. To be near you and be loved. She loves pets as she leans into your hand you can feel the love. Merideth loves sunny windows where she can stretch out and watch the birds, her little face lit up with curiosity. At the rescue, she free roams comfortably and gets along well with the other cats. She would enjoy a calm feline companion and does well with respectful older children who understand that love sometimes means giving space. She is independent but deeply connected. She is not demanding - she simply hopes. Hopes that someone will see past the kittens who came after her. Hopes that someone will choose her! Merideth Grey has already given so much as a mother. Now she deserves to be someone’s baby. To have a home where she will never be the one left behind again. If you are looking for a quiet, loyal heart to share your life Merideth Grey is still waiting!
Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family! Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm. All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many that are not posted yet. Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives. No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so). We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.
