My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If Noodle were one of the Seven Dwarfs, she’d be Bashful without question. She wants to come say hi… then remembers she’s shy… then circles back once you pretend not to notice. It’s endearing every time.

Noodle is a petite, round little black cat with enormous eyes, silky fur, a big ol' tail. She has the soul of someone who apologizes when you bump into her. She’s shy, gentle, and very sweet. The kind of cat who wants love deeply, but needs a little time (and snacks) to feel safe asking for it.

Once Noodle warms up, her personality quietly shines. She loves cozy blankets, window seats, cat trees, cardboard scratchers, and toys of all kinds. She’s an enthusiastic biscuit maker, an exceptional napper, and an occasional zoomies enthusiast.

Food is the fastest way to her heart. Churu and other tasty treats turn her into a purring machine who weaves between your legs. If you oversleep and forget breakfast, she may gently nip your toes as a reminder that the kitchen should be open.

Noodle would do best in a quieter home with patient humans and another mellow, friendly cat - ideally a congenial feline who can help bring her out of her shell. She especially enjoys female friends, as long as introductions are slow and calm. (When pounced on during play, her current strategy is to dramatically flop over and play dead. We’re working on that.)

She’s easily startled by loud noises or sudden movements but absolutely loves snuggling once she feels secure. At night, she’ll curl up behind your knees or at your feet.

Noodle is a shy but deeply loving cat who just needs the right environment to feel safe enough to bloom. If you have a calm home and a gentle heart, and maybe a quiet kitty companion, Noodle will reward you with devotion, biscuits, and a purr that says, “I’m really glad you’re mine.”

More about this rescue

Urban Cat Coalition is dedicated to helping create a no-kill community by humanely reducing the community cat population in the Milwaukee area through targeted trap-neuter-return (TNR) and adoption programs.

We conduct targeted trapping and support community cat caretakers by being a resource to provide guidance with trapping and colony care.

We educate the community on cat overpopulation and the benefits of TNR.
