My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Marmalade, a sweet, confident tortoiseshell with a quiet charm all her own.

Found as a stray, Marmalade is brave, friendly, and wonderfully independent. She’s not shy at all, but she does have a calm, aloof side that makes her very easy to live with. Marmalade is always friendly and likes everyone, but chooses her snuggle buddies thoughtfully and has bonded closely with one special person in her foster home-- that’s where she’s happiest spending her time.

She gets along well with other cats and the family dog, though she mostly prefers to do her own thing and politely ignores them. She’s confident without being pushy and doesn’t let other cats push her around either.

Marmalade is easy to handle and pick up, excellent with the litter box, and overall a low-maintenance, well-mannered companion. If you’re looking for a friendly cat who enjoys affection but also values her independence, Marmalade could be the perfect match.

All FURR Cats & Kittens are seen by a vet before being posted online and have been:

  • Spayed / Neutered to help control the pet population
  • Microchipped to help ensure your best friend can be brought home if lost.
  • Vaccinated; FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia) & Rabies (which is legally required in most states).  These will need to be kept current after adoption.
  • Tested Negative for FIV & FELV unless otherwise noted on their profile
  • Treated with de-wormer, anti-parasitics, flea baths & prevention, ear mites and anything else our vet deems needed for good health.  This can sometimes include antibiotics and eye/upper respiratory medicines, etc.
  • Many of our fosters also use pre/probiotics and vitamins to fully support their tiny immune systems during transitions.
