My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***In addition to being available for adoption in Georgia, Shirley can be transported to New Jersey and adopted at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes over the Dec 20-21 weekend. An application for her adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Shirley and/or our adoption process should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the rescue's number.***

Towards the end of Sept 2025, two female dogs, Laverne and Shirley, appeared on the property of SoCo Rescue. Both girls were very friendly, going straight up to a staff member as if they were seeking help. The girls were hungry, thirsty and in need of a little compassion. We believe the two dogs abandoned along Vance Rd by someone who simply no longer wanted them.

This stunning young lady is Shirley. There's no doubt that she's beautiful, but she doesn't have to depend on her looks alone to help her find her new home. Not only will you be captivated by her beauty, you'll be dazzled by her sweet personality and totally amazed at just how smart this girl is. With proper training, Shirley could excel in the field of search/rescue, therapy/companion or agility dog. Without any type of specialized training, she'll still easily become the love of your life!

Shirley has now received an update on all of her annual vaccinations, de-wormings and other such vet care. Shirley has also been spayed and received a negative test result from her recent parasite screening.
