Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DEAF DOGS MAKE AMAZING PETS — Meet Dicky! Meet Dicky, a 5-year-old, 18-lb sweetheart with stunning blue eyes, a bright white coat, and a smile that could light up any room. Yes — Dicky is deaf. And no — that does not stop him from being an incredible companion. Deaf dogs like Dicky rely on visual cues, consistency, and connection, which often leads to deeper bonds with their people. They’re attentive, loyal, and wonderfully tuned in to the humans they trust.
Why Deaf Dogs Are Special (and Awesome):
* They bond deeply with their people * They learn hand signals easily * They aren’t startled by loud noises * They live happy, full, joyful lives * They’re just dogs — who need love like any other
Dicky is friendly, affectionate, and eager to connect. He doesn’t know he’s different — he just knows he wants a family. If you’ve ever thought about opening your heart to a special dog, Dicky is ready to show you just how rewarding that choice can be. Come meet Dicky at: Citrus County Animal Services, 4030 S. Airport Rd., Inverness, FL. ID# 59908716
