Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Taz is a handsome, lanky senior black cat with a soft sprinkle of silver in his coat and an even bigger sprinkle of wisdom from a life well lived. He once had a home and a person, and after losing them, he was thrown outside and spent far too long on his own. Despite that, Taz has held on to what matters most. His love for people.
This guy is an absolute sweetheart. He’s confident, affectionate, and incredibly friendly, even with strangers. Taz greets you at the door, announces his presence with a loud, expressive meow, and happily settles in for snuggles. He loves bedtime cuddles, headbutts when he’s asking for affection, and curling up in the nearest cardboard box.
Taz is playful but relaxed. He enjoys wandering around the house, exploring at his own pace, and entertaining himself with catnip toys or a cardboard scratcher. He’s not much of a climber, prefers a calm approach to life, and is an extremely good boy. He purrs easily and never misses a meal.
He does well with other cats and has a very non-confrontational personality, but dogs are not his thing. He’s currently living with a dog and makes his feelings clear about that arrangement, so a dog-free home would be best.
Taz has a few battle scars from life. His ears are scalloped, and he’s missing three teeth, which doesn’t slow him down one bit. He may talk to you at night if he’s feeling lonely, but honestly, he just wants company and reassurance after everything he’s been through.
Taz is a loving, loyal older cat who is ready for a fresh start. If you’re looking for a snuggly companion with a big heart, gentle nature, and a lot of love still to give, Taz would be so grateful to finally have a home again.
DOB: 10/30/15
All cats are altered, microchipped, dewormed and given age appropriate vaccinations.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not have a physical shelter, therefore all our cats reside in foster homes. We do require a completed application prior to setting up a Meet & Greet in a foster home. Complete an application today! https://www.urbancats.org/adopt
