Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Barold, a charming 2-year-old ready for cozy snuggles as the chilly nights arrive! This relaxed kitty loves lounging with his human, enjoying gentle cheek scratches, and munching crunchy treats—especially while basking in warm sunshine and showcasing his loving purr-sonality.
Barold has a fun little secret—he's a master food snatcher! Yep, he’s so quick, you might not even notice him pawing your chicken or sneaking a lick of that crumb you were saving for a last tasty bite.
He’s a calm, cool, and collected guy, except when a wand toy appears! Then he becomes a playful, hunting kitten. It’s even cuter considering he's definitely not kitten-sized at 13 lbs and counting.
He's been introduced to other cats or kids; with some gentle, slow introductions, he could get along wonderfully. He’s FIV+ and totally ready for his next adventure!
If you think you could be Barold's perfect match, don’t hesitate—fill out an adoption application today!
Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is a cat-specific virus that cannot be transmitted to dogs or humans. FIV spreads through deep bite wounds, typically seen on outdoor male cats who haven’t been neutered. It's rarely spread through grooming, sharing of bowls, or use of the litter box. FIV affects a cat's immune system, but most cats live long lives when they stay indoors, receive routine veterinary care, have a stress-free home, and enjoy a good diet. To learn more about FIV, please visit the link below.

If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the application's drop-down menu, they are no longer available for adoption, and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer resources, applications for cats or kittens that are no longer listed will not be reviewed.
About Ten Lives:
Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-run. We don’t have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for our foster families’ time, privacy, and safety, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet-and-greet.
Our goal is to place cats in their best match homes and support lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-served basis. We believe that veterinary care is essential to responsible cat guardianship, so a veterinary check is an integral part of our process. We aim to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the high volume of applications. We're all volunteers, and we kindly ask for your patience.
All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated according to age, tested for FIV/FeLV and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are included in the adoption fee.
