She won`t complain if you want to pet her. She weighs 23 pounds and likes running, tugging, toys, walks, chase, wrestling and playing outside. Curious and always eager to explore, Nona does need a bit of guidance because she is not leash trained. She is crate trained but still working on house training. She loves playing but she can be a bit rough with other dogs and tends to jump around children. She has a penchant for chewing and digging and takes advantage of her beloved outdoor time. She`s thrives on attention, making her a bit needy but always exciting to be around. Nona would flourish in a home where she can get plenty of exercise, training, and love. Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

Citizens For Animal Protection, founded in 1972, is committed to sheltering, rescuing, and placing homeless animals in loving homes; advocating respect and compassion for all animal life; providing humane education to prevent animal cruelty; and raising awareness in the community of the needs of animals.
CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021. In 2021, CAP provided care for 10,260 animals; this includes animals surrendered by the public and transferred in from animal control agencies and rescue groups, animals already in the shelter and foster care program, feral cats trapped/neutered/returned and animals receiving vaccinations and other treatments in our low-cost vaccination clinic, The Cornelius Clinic.
