My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Coraline!

A little about Coraline:

-She's sweet, curious, and generally very mellow

-She has an adorable squawk that she most often utilizes to get your attention and demand pets

-She wishes to be dough being formed into a beautiful baguette and requests proper kneading and bongoing from her people and will toss herself down to be worked on the floor!

Coraline would best enjoy a home that:

-Wants to give a special kitty a comfy home to settle into

-Doesn't mind giving a little extra TLC

-Has time and patience for a sweet, mellow senior

Coraline is in foster, here is what they had to say: Cora is a grade-A kitty cat and cozy companion! She immediately settled into her space in our office and has been an excellent guest. No overt mischief, and no issues seeing the other cats. She also LOVES aggressive petting and being wrapped in my arms and snuggled while comfy in one of her round beds. Cora may be old, but she still has big bursts of play energy and loves a soft toy she can attack, especially catnip ones!

❤️ Coraline is a hospice adoption.

More about this shelter

Kitsap Humane Society is a private, nonprofit animal shelter. We rescue and rehome over 6000 pets each year. Every dog or cat leaves our shelter spayed or neutered and with complete vaccines and a microchip. We have been caring for animals in need since 1908 and envision a time when all adoptable pets have loving homes.

We are extremely proud of our exceptionally high “lives saved” rate of over 96%. Through our active adoption, behavior, foster, transfer, and veterinary programs, we are able to rehome every adoptable animal that enters our facility. No animal is ever euthanized for lack of space.

In addition to caring for and adopting animals, we also provide spay/neuter services to low income residents of Kitsap County, and provide Animal Rescue and Enforcement services to our surrounding municipalities.
