My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Yes
Good with kids: Unknown, likely yes
Crate trained: Yes
House trained: Yes

Mary is a sweet, outgoing girl with the biggest ears and an even bigger heart. She loves meeting new people and has a friendly, social personality that makes her easy to fall for. She’s the kind of pup who brings cheerful energy to the room and is always ready for affection.

Mary gets along beautifully with other dogs and would enjoy a canine companion, though she’d also thrive as the only pet soaking up all the attention. She has been great with the cat in her foster home and is respectful and curious in a gentle way. She hasn’t met kids yet, but her warm, happy nature suggests she’d do well with a family that helps her settle in at her own pace.

This smart girl is fully house trained and crate trained. She’s very respectful in the home and doesn’t touch anything unless it’s given to her. Mary loves stuffed and squeaky toys and plays with an enthusiastic, joyful style. She loves to go for walks and generally does well on leash.  Her leash skills will continue to improve with routine and structure.

Mary is affectionate, playful, and full of goofy charm. She loves to end the day by sitting right on her person so she can hand out kisses with ease. She’s an amazing lady who’s ready to bring fun and love to her new home. Could she be your perfect match?

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
