My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Madame Kaji is the quiet genius of the litter—observant, thoughtful, and incredibly clever. This lovely girl is the first to figure out new games, puzzle toys, and inventive ways to “hunt” her toys, and she delights in gentle, enriching play. She has a calm, peaceful energy and brings a soothing presence to any room she enters.

While she’s a bit more independent than her sisters, Madame Kaji is deeply affectionate in her own meaningful way. She adores having her ears massaged and will lean into soft, steady affection. She’s also wonderfully self-sufficient—she knows just when to tuck herself in for a nap and loves finding the coziest blankets in the house.

Madame Kaji has been raised with a large, friendly Maine Coon and gets along great with other cats. She’s also had extensive, positive experience with children from babies to kindergarten age. Her gentle temperament, patience, and calm nature make her an exceptional kitten for families who want a sweet, clever companion who handles kid interaction beautifully.

If you’re looking for a graceful, intelligent kitten who brings warmth, quiet joy, and a touch of elegance to your home, Madame Kaji is the perfect match. She’s ready to bond deeply with her new family and thrive in a loving, enriching environment.

Kittens need buddies! We require that kittens be adopted with a sibling or go to a home that already has another young companion animal. If you already have a young animal or another kitten in your home, great! If not, Madame Kaji will need to be adopted with one of their siblings (Mizu and Princess Akemi).

The adoption fee for a kitten is $250. For a pair, the adoption fee is $500.

Note: Kittens must be 10+ weeks old before they can go home.

Additional adoption info

If you’re thinking about adding a kitten or two to your family, a Bitty Kitty is a great choice! Kittens who have been bottlefed tend to be extra friendly and snuggly!

By adopting a kitten from the Bitty Kitty Brigade, you’ll be supporting our no-kill organization and making room for us to take in another orphan kitten.

All of our cats receive high-quality veterinary care and exams. Prior to adoption, all of our kittens are:

FeLV/FIV tested
spayed/neutered
treated for external and internal parasites
microchipped
FVRCP (distemper) vaccinated

Please allow 24-48 hours for a reply to an adoption inquiry.

More about this rescue

The Bitty Kitty Brigade is a foster-based rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities, MN and surrounding areas.

Our mission is:
To provide care for orphaned neonatal kittens and to partner with animal rescue organizations and impound facilities to improve survival rates within the neonatal kitten population.

The Bitty Kitty Brigade provides care for kittens ages 0-6 weeks who are without mothers and not yet eating on their own. Once weaned, the kittens are either transferred to one of our partner no-kill organizations or transferred to another caregiver within our organization where they will be cared for until adoption age.
