Meet Rosie, a sweet little girl bursting with potential and an inspiring spirit! Despite a challenging past, Rosie is determined to live her best life and is searching for a patient, understanding home to help her flourish.
When she first arrived, Rosie was a bundle of nerves, shaking and hiding in her carrier. Yet, through all her fear, this remarkable girl has never once hissed, growled, or bitten – a true testament to her gentle nature. In the short time she's been with us, Rosie has been incredibly brave, slowly emerging from her shell.
Rosie is learning to embrace her inner feline, motivated by delicious wet food, tempting treats, intriguing toys, and her own boundless curiosity. She's incredibly agile and already shows flashes of her silly, athletic side! We believe a friendly, playful feline sibling could be wonderful for Rosie, helping her discover the joys of being a cat. She currently enjoys the quiet presence of humans, even if it's from a distance for now.
Rosie will need time and a calm environment to fully blossom, but her progress so far makes us incredibly proud. We know this is just the beginning for this resilient girl. Once she settles in and feels safe, we truly believe Rosie will become the most devoted, loving companion you could ever wish for. Give Rosie a chance to shine – your patience will be rewarded tenfold!
Rosie is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.

If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
