Haze is looking for the permanence of a forever home!
Haze arrived at EHS as a member of the “Grey Scale Gang,” where she lived in a multi-cat home. She is starting to see through the fog of uncertainty towards a life where she can be a focal point!
ABOUT HAZE - At shelter - Haze is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans. - She arrived living up to her name, being difficult to see, preferring to hide in a cubby or under a blanket. However, almost likely a mystical prophecy, Haze has taken to finding refuge in her “gingerbread” house. - She may still hiss and swat when disturbed or startled, but she is gentle. - Haze has also started to enjoy chin and cheek rubs from the back-scratcher. Most recently, she’s been seen eating a little bit of a tube treat from a volunteer’s hand! - She has started to reveal her playful nature, especially with wand toys! - Haze is currently enrolled in EHS’s socialization program, where dedicated volunteers are working to help her become more comfortable around people. - Haze has been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.
HAZE’S IDEAL HOME - A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without young children or dogs. - Haze appears to take comfort in her feline friends and may enjoy having another cat in her new home. - Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Haze settle into her new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Haze with a successful transition to her forever home.
If you can clearly see how Haze would benefit from joining your family, drop by the shelter to meet Haze today!
