If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Nutmeg is a 3 year old german shepherd collie mix located in Loudoun County, VA.
She was a rescue and a mystery dog so we do not know much about her story before we adopted her, but are fairly sure she came from an abusive home. She can be skittish meeting new people but is the sweetest and most cuddly girl once she gets to know you :) She loves being around her people and is happy doing just about anything with you, wether it’s playing or going for long walks or taking naps. She still thinks she’s a lap dog and will jump right up in your lap if you let her! Nutmeg is used to having a lot of outdoor space to run around and play with her dog siblings so we think she’d do best with a yard! Nutmeg is housetrained and leash trained and responds to basic commands as well as a couple tricks :) She tends to be anxious when left in her crate alone or when away from her family for too long. I’m looking for a new home for her due to a recent move and financial difficulties :(
