My story

Meet Rambo, our rescued Doberman Pinscher. He came to The Cat House in need of immediate medical attention. After he went to visit the veterinarian, we learned that he was born with a malformation in his genital area. The vet did a wonderful job at fixing his issue. Cosmetically he looks different, but he's able to take care of his necessities. Rambo enjoys being around his people and the resident dogs. He's learned how to walk on a leash, house broken, and crate trained. Rambo is neutered, and he's current on his vaccines. This BIG guy currently weighs about 90 lbs, with lots of energy and still growing. This breed is very smart and Rambo has lots of potential with the right home. He enjoys his daily walks and his favorite people.

All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas and ear mites, tested for FELV/FIV and microchipped. You must fill out an adoption application and talk directly with one of our adoption coordinators. An adoption contract must be signed at time of adoption.

You may visit The Cat House daily, except major holidays, 1-4 pm, by appointment only. We also have an off-site adoption center located inside Petco at 4144 N. Blackstone at Ashlan in Fresno, which is open open daily 10am-5pm and Wednesday 10am-6pm.

The Cat House on the Kings is California's largest no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center located on 12 acres along the Kings River in Parlier, California, which is in the central San Joaquin Valley, southeast of Fresno.

At The Cat House, our mission is to:
1) provide a no-cage, no-kill sanctuary for feral and abandoned cats and kittens for the State of California, primarily serving the Central Valley;
2) facilitate the adoption of cats (primarily), dogs and other rescued animals into safe, loving, healthy and permanent homes;
3) educate the public on how to become directly involved in improving the quality of animal welfare;
4) offer low cost spay and neuter referrals.
