My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Moni is a 1–2-year-old Shih Tzu / Schnoodle mix (is our best guess) bursting with sweetness, personality, and playful energy. This adorable girl loves her dog toys, enjoys romping around with her doggie buddies, and absolutely adores spending time with her humans. If you sit down, don’t be surprised if she leaps right into your lap—Moni believes laps were made just for her!

She’s a happy leash walker and loves greeting everyone she meets. Moni is currently working on her housebreaking skills and making steady progress. At night, she sleeps quietly on her dog bed in the kitchen like the good girl she is.

Moni is no couch potato—she thrives with an active family who can keep her engaged and moving. A fenced yard would be a big plus for this playful pup. She’d do wonderfully in a home with kids or adults and can be an only pet or live alongside another friendly dog. She is also fine with cats. She’s adaptable and easygoing—she just wants to be loved.

If you’re looking for a sweet, lively, affectionate companion who’s always up for fun (and snuggles!), Moni might be the perfect match.

Go meet their pets

Since we are a small foster home based rescue we very rarely hold adoption events. We mostly have meet and greets to approved adopters. On the rare occasion we may bring a dog or so out to an event however we do not allow on event site adoptions.

More about this rescue

The mission of our small foster home based 501C3 organization is to rescue homeless dogs with no hope; especially those living in inhumane conditions. Whether it's dogs in cramped, dirty puppy mill cages, barbaric international dog meat farms, hoarding situations or those living in the streets and shelters - we give them a brand new lease on life. Wagging Tails Dog Rescue NY provides all the dogs we save with appropriate veterinary care, loving foster homes and adopt them out to caring and responsible forever homes.
