My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Christopher was brought in by Field Service Officer on December 2, 2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Christopher, a wise gentleman with personality in every whisker and a presence that commands attention without saying a word. He's the kind of companion who's seen a lot, learned a few lessons, and now enjoys the finer things: a sunny perch, a cozy nook, and the chance to quietly observe the world around him. Christopher is easing into his current surroundings, but he's already showing glimpses of his clever, slightly mischievous side. He's calm, confident, and full of character-always ready to offer a thoughtful glance or a gentle nudge to let you know he's paying attention. If you're looking for a cat with charm, experience, and just the right touch of attitude, Christopher is ready to bring his unique personality into your home. And don't forget a secure carrier for his comfortable ride home.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
