My name is Chopper!

Brace yourselves for this adorable love bug! Meet Chopper! He’s a 1 year old, 32 lb Basset Hound mix shorty. He loves to run in the yard with his canine friends, and even though we saved him from the south he loves the snow. He loves dogs of all different sizes and isn’t phased by cats. He’s good with kiddos and walks well on a leash. Chopper knows how to use potty pads inside and is also going outside via the dog door. He’s catching on fast to housetraining as he's a smart boy. He is crate trained and will keep it clean overnight. He loves toys and chew sticks and is just a big ol’ love bug. He has the best personality… A match your energy kind of dog.

We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!!
