My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Milo is a sweet 7-month-old Golden Retriever puppy. He came from an accidental litter of 13 puppies, where the owners were overwhelmed and unable to provide proper care. Thankfully, Milo found his way to us, and we’re giving him the safe, loving start he deserves.

Since arriving at his foster home, Milo has been the best houseguest. He hasn’t had any potty accidents, settles down easily after playtime, and loves being near his humans. Whether he’s lying at your feet or curling up right beside you, he brings a calm and comforting presence.

Milo is dog-friendly & human-friendly. He is ready to charm everyone he meets. He warms up fast, gives the sweetest little kisses, and will absolutely snuggle if you need some extra love. He enjoys being with his foster sisters! They play together, nap together, and he follows their lead beautifully. We are looking to place him in a home with another playful dog.

Milo has the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and calm energy & he is very food & treat motivated!

His only “work in progress” is leash walking, which is still new to him but he’s improving every day. With patience and positive reinforcement he’s catch on quickly.

Milo is going to make an incredible companion for a family who can give him the love he deserves. He is ready to find his forever home.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We rescue dogs and place them in foster homes until they are ready for adoption. We vaccinate, spay/neuter, microchip, and provide any additional care such as surgery or rehabilitation. We help each dog get ready to be placed in a happy forever home.

Potential adopters are asked to complete an online adoption application and may be visited by one of our volunteers to do a home interview. We aim to find the best fit for each dog's needs.

Our adoption fees range between $400-$1,000 for domestic dogs and those from Mexico. Dogs are assigned an adoption fee based on several factors such as age, breed, health and behavior, amongst others.

For our international dogs from overseas, adoption fees range $800-$2,000. International adoption fees are higher due to the travel and boarding costs, as well as the above-mentioned factors for domestic dogs. These dogs stay in their country of origin for weeks, or sometimes months, prior to being able to travel.
