My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our stunning boy Steele! He was born approx. 8/9/25 and currently weighs in at 29 lbs. He’s still very much puppy. He loves toys, going for walks or outings, running around the backyard, and playing with the other resident dogs of all sizes. He really enjoys the other dogs, but he also loves to snuggle up with his foster mama for a snooze. He’s housebroken, but does know potty pads too if really needed. He’s leash trained, knows “sit”, and is working on a few other commands. He’s a smart, fast learner and is treat motivated so should be easy to continue training. Steele is crate trained and sleeps all night in there. He loves everyone, including kids. This handsome guy is ready to find his lucky forever family and continue his puppy training to be the best good boy.

Steele is neutered, fully vetted and vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and ready to meet you! His adoption donation is $375. Please apply directly in the dropdown menu on our website at https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org

PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application

We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!!
