My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Marcie — A Sweet Girl Ready for Her Second Chance! 🐾

Marcie is a 2-year-old spayed Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who came to us as a stray and was sadly never reclaimed. Now, this lovely girl is hoping to find a home where she can finally relax and feel secure.

In the shelter, Marcie is often found at the front of her kennel, barking to ask for food and attention — she clearly loves interacting with people! The moment you engage with her, she perks right up and shows her affectionate, eager personality. While she can be a bit nervous in the busy shelter environment, it’s easy to see that underneath it all she is a sweet, loving girl who just wants companionship.

Marcie was introduced to off leash play with another large female dog and did great. While Marcie was somewhat interested and behaved excellently when engaged, she made it clear she much prefers the attention of a person, than that of another dog. Good idea to do meet and greet with other pups.

With patience, reassurance, and a calm home, Marcie is sure to blossom into a wonderful companion. She would do best with someone who can give her the attention and stability she’s been missing.
