My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oh, hi. My name is Lily and I am sitting here at the shelter just trying to get used to things again. I was adopted from here several years ago. Things were just great, but then my owner had to move to another city to help care for her parents. She wanted me to go with her, but unfortunately me and her parents dog just didn’t get along, so it was back to the shelter for me. I am a small to medium size terrier mix that is about four years old. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. I am a sweet girl that would love to have a home again.

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
