This lovely girl came to us from our Newark shelter after being found as a stray with her siblings, in rough shape and unsure of the world. Honeymaren arrived timid and scruffy, but thanks to plenty of TLC, good meals, and gentle care, she has blossomed into a healthy, happy, and affectionate kitten.
Honeymaren and her brother Olaf are now ready to leave their frozen pasts behind. They would love nothing more than to stay together—or be adopted as a pair—so they can continue growing up with the comfort, confidence, and love that only family can provide.

Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused, or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
