My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Holly – Your New Best Friend

Hello there! My name is Holly, and I’m a 1 ½â€‘year‑old shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. I may be young, but I’ve already been on quite the adventure. I was picked up as a stray in Yuma, and for about a month I waited patiently, hoping my family would come back for me. I sat, I watched, and I dreamed of the day they’d walk through the door. But they never did.

That’s okay, though—because I believe every twist in the road leads to something wonderful. My journey brought me here to Central Arizona Animal Rescue, and now I’m waiting for my true forever family. Maybe that’s you!

A People‑Focused Pup

I’ll let you in on a little secret: I adore people. Dogs are fun, and I get along well with them, but what really makes my tail spin like a helicopter is being with humans. I want to be near you, to share your day, to listen when you talk, and to remind you that you’re never alone. Whether you’re reading a book, cooking dinner, or just relaxing on the couch, I’ll be right there, soaking up every moment.

I’m the kind of dog who thrives on companionship. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who will always greet you with excitement and unconditional love, I’m your girl.

My Personality

Sweetness is my specialty. I don’t have a long history to share—no one knows exactly how I am with cats or if I’m already house trained—but I promise you this: I’m eager to learn. I’m young, smart, and motivated by love, so teaching me new things will be easy and fun.

Think of me as a blank canvas with the brightest colors ready to shine. With a little guidance, I’ll blossom into the perfect companion. I’ll be the dog who makes you smile on tough days and laugh when you least expect it.

Health and Care

I’ve already had some important things taken care of so you don’t have to worry. I’ve been spayed, I’m current on all my vaccinations, and I’ve been microchipped. That means I’m safe, healthy, and ready to go home with you right away.

All I need now is a family to call my own—a family who will cherish me, play with me, and let me be part of their everyday life.

Why Choose Me?

There are many wonderful dogs out there, but here’s why I think I’m the one for you:

  • I’m young and full of energy, ready to join you on walks, hikes, or just backyard adventures.

  • I’m incredibly people‑focused, so you’ll never feel alone with me by your side.

  • I’m sweet and adaptable, which means I’ll fit right into your life with a little patience and love.

  • I’m already spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, so I’m healthy and prepared for my forever home.

Most importantly, I have a heart that’s been waiting for someone just like you. I know once we meet, you’ll see the sparkle in my eyes and the joy in my spirit.

Let’s Meet! ✨

I may have started my journey as a stray, but I know my story is meant to end with a happy home. Could you be the one to give me that gift? If you’d like to meet me, please e‑mail mike@caaronline.org to set up an appointment. I’ll be here at Central Arizona Animal Rescue, wagging my tail and dreaming of the day you walk in.

I’m ready to give you all the love I’ve been saving up. Let’s start our adventure together—because I believe the best chapters are still ahead, and I can’t wait to write them with you.

Love always, Holly
