Please note: Harley is not at the shelter.
She is currently with her owner in Woodland, CA, and all meet-and-greets will be coordinated directly with the owner.
For more information or to meet Harley, please contact her owner directly:
Owner: Steven Brindle

(Phone number was not provided—if you'd like me to list one, I can update the post.)
Breed: French Bulldog
Age: 7 years
Color: Tri-colored
Gender: Female (not spayed)
Vaccines: Not current
Location: Woodland, CA
Reason for Rehoming: New housing does not allow her
Harley has been with her family her entire life. Due to a move and strict housing rules, her owner can no longer keep her and wants to find a safe, appropriate placement for her.
Harley is not appropriate for homes with children. Her owner reports:
She is aggressive toward children
She does not allow people to take food or toys from her
No bite history, but she shows clear discomfort and defensive behavior
These behaviors indicate she needs an experienced, adult-only home with someone who understands and can manage resource guarding and fear-based reactions.
Potty trained
Crate trained
Has lived both indoors and outdoors
Loyal and bonds strongly with her person
Harley can be a loving companion in the right environment—one that is calm, structured, and respectful of her boundaries.
Harley would do best in a home that is:
Adult-only (no children, no frequent child visitors)
Experienced with dogs who have resource guarding or reactivity
Able to provide structure and patient training
Quiet and low-traffic
A home without other pets may be the safest match unless the adopter is skilled with careful introductions.
Harley has not been seen by a veterinarian recently and is not current on vaccines. Her future home should be prepared to bring her up to date on medical care, as well as discuss spaying with a vet.
All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
