Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🌩️ Meet Bolt — Your Energetic, Big-Hearted Best Friend! 🌩️
Bolt is a 7 month-old neutered Shepherd mix who came to us after his previous family welcomed a new baby and could no longer keep him. They shared that Bolt has lived comfortably with kids, other dogs, and even cats, and that he is potty trained — a great start for his next home!
This handsome guy is vocal and expressive, and while you’ll definitely hear him before you see him, his bark is all talk — Bolt is truly friendly, affectionate, and excited to meet new people. When you approach his kennel, his joyful, high-energy personality shines.
On leash, Bolt is strong and enthusiastic. He pulls hard and doesn’t yet listen to direction, so he’ll benefit from adopters who are ready to work on basic obedience and leash etiquette. With consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, this smart boy is sure to make great progress.
While Bolt previously lived with other pets, in shelter care we’ve learned he may do best as the only dog in the home. If you do have another dog, we require a meet-and-greet to ensure everyone is comfortable and compatible.
If you're looking for a lively companion with a huge heart, Bolt might be the perfect match. Come meet him — he’s ready to race his way into your life! 🐾
