What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
My coworkers and I named this sweet boy Samson. We wondered into our station on a cold night and we took him in. He is was thin, cold, and tired. He has a sweet demeanor and love to snuggle and be your shadow. My coworkers and I have been taking turns fostering him until we could find him a good home. Its unknown how long he has been wondering around but due to his weight, we suspect its been awhile. This is what we have learned about
- He is older/not neutered
- He is slowly learning recall. Now that he is used to his new name
- While inside he listens very well and not overly hyper. He really just wants to be able to cuddle wherever you are and watch you.
- He does well with other female dogs (have not seen him around males)
- He pulls on a leash and would really benefit from a secure, fenced, backyard.
- Showed some food aggression but redirected easily. Would benefit from being fed away from other animals with timed feedings.
- House trained is 50/50 due to current circumstance
