My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Nyx!

Born under a Halloween moon on October 31st, this tiny, scruffy terrier mix is part of our enchanting Hallowed Hounds litter. Though she may come from a spooky-season litter, there’s nothing scary about her — unless you count how scarily adorable she is. Small in size but big in spirit, she'll have you under her spell faster than you can say "Boo."

Nyx will be ready for adoption on December 26th, just in time to warm up your winter with a brand-new best friend. Want to meet her before then? Float on over to our Hounds for the Howlidays event at The Velvet Hippo in Durham on Saturday, 12/13, from 12–2pm, where she and her siblings will be charming visitors in person.

If you’re looking for a pint-sized familiar with a heart full of sweetness and a dash of Halloween sparkle, this enchanting pup may be the one to bewitch your home.

Additional adoption info

Please visit www.hopeanimals.org/adopt to learn more about our adoption process and to complete an adoption application.

Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter*, microchipping, up-to-date vaccinations, and current heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

*If pet is not old enough to be spayed or neutered prior to adoption, a $50.00 credit will be paid to your vet at the time of surgery.

We require a veterinary reference for current pet owners, and pets must be up to date on vaccines and heartworm preventative. We meet potential adopters in their homes and introduce the pets to the family's current pets to see if it is a good match. A copy of our adoption contract can be requested via email.
