Hello! My name is Shelby, and I’m a 5 ½-year-old pittie with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. I’m the kind of girl who can turn everyday moments into joy—I’ll tug blankets through the house, zoom across beds and couches with my goofy energy, and then melt right into your lap for belly rubs (my absolute favorite!). I adore kids, love my rope toy, and I’m happiest when I get to walk outside or join you on a hike.
I’m affectionate to the core—I hug you often and lean in close just to soak up your love. At the same time, I can be independent and settle nicely in my crate when needed. I’m curious about the world and believe every smell deserves investigation! My beautiful brown eyes will look up at you as if to say, “Okay, what’s next?”
I do have a few quirks: loud noises and passing cars can spook me, so my new family will need to be cautious during our early walks together. But once I feel safe, my loyalty shines—I’ll happily follow you around the house while you go about your day. My fosters say it’s been a privilege to prepare me for my forever home, and they describe me as pure joy. I get along with people and even the foster cat, but I prefer to be the only dog in the household.
I’m full of love, excitement, and puppy-like playfulness, so I’d thrive with a family who can match my energy. I’m strong, smart, and learning new commands every day. I’ve blossomed beautifully in foster care—arriving at 45 pounds and now a healthy 57 pounds. I’m vaccinated, spayed, heartworm negative, and ready to bring my big personality into your life.
I’m currently being fostered in Dyer, TN, but I can be transported to other states (transport fees apply). If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion who will fill your days with laughter and love, please fill out an application today. You must be 21 or older to adopt me.
