My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Argenta: the Greyscale Gang’s most fashionable member!

This black-and-white beauty is easy to pick out of the group with her white socks and (oh-so-cute) half moustache! Quite the statement! Some of her group have already gone to their fur-ever homes, and Argenta is one of five remaining distinct shades (Haze, Grayce, Misty, and Cloud) who came to EHS from a multi-cat environment. These gentle greys all get along with and support each other, but understandably, they have needed some time to adjust to their new environment and all the new people in it. Fortunately, all of them, including Argenta, have been making steady progress!

ABOUT ARGENTA

- At shelter
- Argenta is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans.
- This pretty girl may be shy if you are someone unfamiliar, or if you get too close for her comfort, but Argenta is gradually gaining confidence--and has quickly learned that people are fun to play with!
- This playful feline LOVES to play with a wand toy, and she is the most playful in the group! You may tire out before Argenta does! She also likes catnip toys.
- If Argenta will sit still long enough, she does seem to like it when you talk quietly to her. She is very attentive and will watch and listen to you. She may also respond to you with slow blinks (an indication that she feels comfortable with you)!
- Although Argenta will cuddle with all the cats in her room at the shelter when it is time to relax, she is most often found snuggled up together with Grayce in their favourite spot, on the highest shelf in the room.
- Argenta has been described as “shy, but super curious,” and although she may sniff a back-scratcher or outstretched hand, she is still wary of being touched by either. At first, it is best to let Argenta approach you until she feels more relaxed.
- Argenta enjoys her food when she likes what is on the menu and isn’t shy about helping herself to her roomie’s food dishes if they aren’t quick enough!
- Argenta is currently enrolled in EHS’s socialization program, where dedicated volunteers are working to help her become more comfortable around people.
- Argenta has been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.

ARGENTA’S IDEAL HOME

- Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Argenta settle into her new environment. EHS
