Meet Hercules! He is a 1 1/2 yr old male Lab Retriever mix that weighs 69lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 12/8 as a stray. It`s easy to see with a name like that, how handsome and incredibly charming he is. We feel he did have a family as he appears to have been well cared for and is really smart. He knows the sit, back, and leave it commands. He walks great on a leash and takes treats gently. He is an affectionate guy that will come up to you, put his head or even his paws in your lap just to be close. Then he will flash you a big smile! Hercules love to chase balls. He will bring them back, drop it at your feet and wait for you to throw it again to him. Walking past other dogs barking at him, he doesn`t pay any attention. We do always ask if there will be another dog in the home, please be sure to ask the shelter for a dog test. He has very quickly become a Staff and Volunteer Favorite. He deserves to find a loving family of his own that can provide him a secured yard to play in and definitely live indoors where he can be close and loving to his human companions. Come meet this charming boy!
