My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Sam is looking for his forever home.  He is with our partner rescue in Louisiana but can come to NJ if we find a foster or adopter. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved adopters.

Meet Sam!

When this adorable boy was rescued, he was found alone in someone's yard - just 2 pounds with no hair and a whole lot of healing to do. But this special boy never lost his gentle spirit. today Sam is healthy, happy and absolutely loving life.

Despite being a puppy, Sam is surprisingly calm. He adores attention, naps peacefully in his open crate and fits right into a busy home full of other dogs. he's grown up surrounded by canine buddies and he's a pro at using the doggy door to go out during the day.

Sam has come so far and he's looking for his forever family to complete his journey.

Sam  is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. His adoption fee is $550.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.

Additional adoption info

We require an application. After reviewing the application, your home sounds suitable for the personality of the animal you are looking for, then a home check and a meeting is set up. For our rescue animals an adoption donation is required. All our rescue animals are up to date on shots, heartworm tested or on preventative, dewormed frontlined and have a microchip.

More about this rescue

Wag On Inn Rescue, A NJ recognized 501(C)3 organization, located in Freehold, NJ, is a small group of dedicated volunteers, trying to rehome dogs and cats. We have a variety of animals looking for their forever home. The animals are worked with individually to be socialized with other animals and with people. Some of the dogs are obedience trained and housebroken. Special care is also taken in working with animals on basic house manners. We have two types of ways we help the animals. One is our rescue program, where we pull animals from shelters and they stay with us until adopted, we also have a "referal program" where we help owners of pets try to find them new homes. with this program, the pets stay with their owners until a new home is found, and adopted from the owner.
