Meet Jasper
Jasper's foster mom can't understand why this gentle boy hasn't had a single inquiry.
Jasper is both crate trained and housebroken, and he sleeps through the night. Jasper is a smart, food-motivated pup who already knows “come” and travels well in the car. He loves playing fetch (even if he doesn’t always bring the toy right back!) and chasing after his favorite herding ball. He would also make a great agility dog, this boy can jump incredibly high.
Jasper is respectful of the senior resident dog in his foster home and enjoys playing with his foster siblings. He especially enjoys games of tug or friendly wrestling matches when they’re in the mood. He would do well in a home with another friendly dog or would be perfectly content soaking up love as an only pup.
After spending about five months in a shelter as a young stray, Jasper is now in his foster home and learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. Though he may start out shy, beneath that cautious exterior is an incredibly sweet soul who absolutely loves being petted and close to his people.
Jasper would do best in a home with kids over the age of 12 due to his size, age and enery level. He will need a fenced yard, as he’s still gaining confidence walking on a leash. With patience, kindness, and a few tasty treats, Jasper will blossom into the most loyal, loving companion you could ever hope for.
Jasper is currently working hard on all the essentials:
Leash walking
Sit
Come
Shake
I’m neutered, up to date on all my vaccinations, and microchipped currently being fostered in Colorado Springs, CO. Will be willing to travel to meet potential adopters. Want to meet me? Just fill out a no obligation application—I can’t wait!
