We are seeking a new home for our beloved dog, Raider. He is 6.5 years old - a mixed breed (Lab x Boxer x Samoyed x Husky). Making the decision to re-home him has been heartbreaking but I know he will be safer and more relaxed in a home without toddlers and crawling babies.
Raider is a sweet soul who had a tough start to life. We adopted him when he was 1. The rescue believed he was abused as a puppy as he is quite nervous of people (especially men) he doesn’t know. We have worked with him to create routines around new introductions to help him feel safe. It is important that his forever home/human have the patience to help him feel safe with strangers.
When he was 4 years old Raider had a spinal injury. He woke up paralysed. We paid for him to have spinal surgery and he has made an incredible recovery. Although he is still a bit wobbly when he is tired, he has nearly perfect mobility and still loves to run and play. While he has some baggage, he is sweet, cuddly, and loyal.
