Bio:
Mabel was found riding around in the undercarriage of our family vehicle likely looking for a warm place to sleep. She has now found herself much more comfortable in her foster home. She surprised us by adjusting rather quickly to our busy home. Although she seems to prefer her high perch on the bathroom cabinet where she can watch from above, she does enjoy affection and being petted. She has warmed up to our family including our small, rambunctious children. She has allowed them to pet and hold her. She would do well in a home with children. We have discovered that she shows most affection to whoever is supplying the cat food that day. She is using the litter box without issue and aced her first vet checkup!
She has been introduced to our resident cats and dogs. She is very social, friendly, and seems to bond well with the resident cats. I think she will do well in a home alone or with other cats.
She did well with our older resident dog, but unfortunately seemed very fearful of our curious and energetic puppy which led to her wanting to hide away from the dogs. She would do well with a dog who ignores her/is calm or a home without dogs so she can be the most comfortable and enjoy roaming throughout the home without needing to hide away.

More about this rescue
Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.
Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.
Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
