Meet Comet! 🌟
This little superstar might be tiny, but her mouser skills are legendary. She’s already out-performing her adult foster cat siblings—Comet is the real deal if you’re looking for a top-tier mouser with a heart of gold!
Beyond her talent, she’s an absolute cutie pie with a playful, friendly personality. Comet gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats—she adores her kitty sister, but her Shih Tzu foster sister is her absolute favorite playmate!
When she’s not showing off her hunting skills, Comet loves curling up on the couch with the whole family and has started purring the moment she’s held. She’s sweet, social, talented, and ready to bring joy (and pest control!) to her forever home. 💛🐾

The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.
