Sweetheart is being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved.
Sweetheart truly lives up to her name! She’s a gentle, affectionate soul who loves to be near her humans and soak up all the love she can get. Whether it’s curling up beside you for a cozy nap or greeting you with soft purrs, Sweet Heart has a way of making every moment feel special. She’s calm, friendly, and has a heart full of kindness—perfect for anyone looking for a loyal companion.
Sweetheart has a few adorable quirks that will keep you smiling! She insists on supervising any activity involving blankets—because clearly, they belong to her. She also has a habit of “helping” with your work by sitting right on your papers or keyboard, as if to say, “You’ve worked enough, now pet me!” And the best part? She has a perfect heart-shaped marking on her side, like a little love note she carries everywhere!
Sweetheart came to us after being lovingly surrendered along with her kittens. She was an amazing mom, caring for her little ones until they were ready for homes of their own. Now that her kittens have all been adopted, it’s Sweet Heart’s turn to find a forever family where she can enjoy being the center of attention and soak up all the love she deserves.
Sweetheart has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV+ cats can live long happy lives with a good diet, low stress, indoor homes, loving families, and annual vet check-ins. They don't require medication and can live in a home with other non-FIV+ cats, as the virus is only passed to other cats by blood (i.e. deep bite marks) and can't be passed to dogs or humans. Please don't judge them based on a blood test!
DOB: September 29th, 2020- FIV Positive

Additional adoption info
Adoption fee is $225 per adult cat, and $300 for kittens (under 8 months old).
This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!
Note:
-Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $225.
-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $175 per cat vs. $225 per cat. Thanks for giving two loving friends a home together!
