🎤🎤🎧 Fire up the karaoke machine, because Bolt is ready to sing! 🎧🎤🎤
He’ll take the melody or the harmony; the choice is yours. His go-to karaoke songs are “Bang!” by AJR and “Pumped-Up Kicks” by Foster the People – for real!
So, do your vocal warm-ups and…cue music! 🎶🎵
This guy has so much personality poppin off underneath that blanket of Husky glitter (a.k.a. fur). He is about 7 years old and weighs around 80 lbs.
Bolt isn’t an escape artist like Huskies can be, and he has made a specialty of keeping squirrels out of the yard. Whether it’s 20 degrees or 100 degrees out, he wants to lie around in the backyard – and of course, he’s hoping a squirrel forgets the rules so that Bolt can remind them of the squirrel-free zone.
He does well on the leash and enjoys walks in addition to his backyard lounging. He’s a goofball sometimes, pouncing around the house and making up his own games. He plays well with his foster dog sister and would likely be a good playmate to any dogs. He also knows when dogs are older or not as playful, and he lets them be.
Bolt loves to rub his head on his people – it’s the main way he shows his love, or reminds you that he’s there, or nudges you that maybe it’s mealtime. Of course, knowing Bolt, he also might be saying it’s time to turn on the tunes!
Bolt sleeps nicely in his crate at night, and he’ll often go in there for naps during the day as well.
He gets along with all people, but he’d probably do best with kids in the home who are at least tweens or older. They may be helpful to translate all his talk, talk, talking too.
If we’re singing your song, you should totally meet this guy. Bolt is house-trained, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He’ll come to you current on preventatives for heartworm and flea/tick. His adoption fee is $175. Apply to adopt him at PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.
What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.
Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.
