He’s a wonderful guy and a friend to one and all, but those pretty brown eyes of his gain an extra sparkle when he sees a little buddy.
Freddie weighs about 40 pounds and is a 5-year-old Hound mix, and his life was completely hunky-dory until just a few weeks ago. His owner has cancer and knew they weren’t capable of caring for Freddie anymore. So, here he is in a loving foster home, but he’s found himself once again looking for his forever.
He promises he’ll make it all worth your while if you’ll give him a close look. Freddie has excellent house manners and knows basic commands like sit and stay. He’s smart and attentive, and especially if you’ve got a treat, he’ll do exactly what you ask him to do. He is a turn-key dog who sleeps peacefully on his dog bed at night and keeps anyone and everyone terrific, cheerful company during the day.
Freddie gets along famously with all people and with other dogs. We don’t know about cats, but his foster thinks he could do fine with them. Don’t forget about KIDS, though! He’d so love to be able to hang out and goof off and run around with a kid or two or three on the regular.
Freddie is housetrained, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. His adoption fee is $175. Meet & greets will be so much fun, and will be scheduled with approved adopters from PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.
What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.
Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.
